Moscow, July 23, 2015. — Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation reports that the FSUE Russian Post launched a new product, which is oriented on the segment of distance trade. Russian Post launched two new services — “Parcel online” and “Courier online”. These services provide affordable delivery in guaranteed terms and are available in large cities of Russia.
Particularly, the service “Parcel online” provides delivery to 38 cities of Russia in short terms. For example, delivery takes two days to Saint Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod and four days to Tyumen. The service “Courier online” encompasses 27 more cities.
“Rapid development of distance trade requires not only modernization of Russian Post infrastructure, but also introduction of new postal services. Optimization of logistics enabled launch of such products,” said Mikhail Evraev.
Reforming of logistic infrastructure of Russian Post has already resulted in reduced delivery terms. Terms of EMS delivery have also improved.
