Vladikavkaz, August 21, 2015. — Alexey Kozyrev, Deputy Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications, made working visit to North Caucasian Federal District and took part in work of Council on Development of Information Society in North Caucasian Federal District. He also met with Tamerlan Aguzarov, temporarily assuming responsibilities of Head of North Ossetia-Alania. The meeting was devoted to implementation of Presidential order on achievement of target share of citizens using e-government services in North Caucasian Federal District by 2018. This share counts 70%.
21% of citizens used e-government services in 2014. This index is by half lower than the average index throughout Russia (35.2%). Government of this Federal district will pay more attention to achievement of this target value.
Council consists of heads of public and local authorities, representatives of commercial organizations and expert community, research scientists of universities. Members of the meeting discussed increasing share of citizens using e-services in North Caucasian Federal District. This Federal District takes second last position according to the share of citizens using e-services.
Chechen Republic, Stavropol Krai and North Ossetia Alania were leaders on this index in 2014. Dagestan and Ingushetia showed the worst results. It is planned to increase share of citizens using e-services up to 40% in 2015.
“Plan on implementation of the order was fulfilled in 22 regions of Russia in 2014. 17 regions of Russia has very complex situation, seven of them are in North Caucasian Federal District. More than 10 million people live there. It’s important to provide citizens of this Federal District with possibility to use e-government services,” said Alexey Kozyrev.
