Moscow, September 22, 2015. — Rashid Ismailov, Deputy Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications, carried out working meeting with Mr. Nguyen Ha Yen, Deputy Director General of Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information of Ministry of Information and Communications of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and representatives of delegation from Vietnam. Deputy Minister told about Russian experience of legislative regulation and combating of harmful information in Internet, principles of Internet infrastructure management and regulation of trans border transfer of information.
Deputy Minister noted that the unified automated information system “Unified register of domain names, webpages in Internet and network addresses” was created in Russia. It identifies websites containing illegal information.
“The law defines types of illegal information that are especially harmful for society — child pornography, sale and production of drugs, promotion of suicides,” said Rashid Ismailov, “We should block such information. There is also a special online form for applications of citizens. There are a lot of such complaints. We received nearly 200 thousand of such complaints in the first half of 2015.Resource will be unblocked after removal of such content.”
