Structure of Management Committee on Creation of ICT-Infrastructure for FIFA World Cup-2018 Was Approved

Zurich, October 29, 2015. — Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications reports about results of work of Management Committee on Preparation and Organization of FIFA World Cup-2018. First meeting of the Committee took place in Zurich. Oleg Pak, State Secretary and Deputy Ministers of Telecom and Mass Communications, took part in the work of Committee.
 
Management Committee was created for coordination of construction of info-telecommunication infrastructure for FIFA World Cup-2018. In consists of FIFA representatives, Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization Organizing Committee Russia-2018 and Minsvyaz.
 
Members of the meeting approved organization structure of management Committee and responsibilities of parties, discussed implementation of required technological services within the project. Special attention was paid to collaboration between Management Committee, Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization Organizing Committee Russia-2018 and Minsvyaz.
 
Russia gained the right to carry out FIFA World Cup-2018 in 2010.Minsvyaz is responsible executive of subprogram “Preparation of telecom and IT infrastructure”. Minsvyaz should provide key groups of participants, members of participating teams, official delegations and broadcasters with fixed data transmission channels, videoconferencing, phone fixed and mobile communications, professional radio communications, satellite communications and cable television according to the concept on development of communications means and IT for preparation and organization of FIFA World Cup-2018 and FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 approved by the Governmental Order №609 on April 9, 2015. Regions of Russia are responsible for permanent and temporary telecom infrastructure of stadiums.

FIFA World Cup 2018 will take place from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities of Russia — Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Kaliningrad< Sochi and Saransk.
