Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation
Maksut Shadayev was born in 1979. From 1999 to 2004 he held senior positions in the companies engaged in ICTs. He began his career in IBS Group Holding where he headed the Division of Business Development and then worked as the Executive Director of Business Development.
In 2004 he was appointed Advisor to the Minister of Information Technologies and Communications of the Russian Federation later taking the office of the Director General of the Department of State Programs, Infrastructure Development and Usage of Limited Resource.
In 2008 he was appointed Assistant to the Head of the Presidential Executive Office and took charge of the Presidential Council for the Development of the Information Society. In 2009 he joined the Management Personnel Pool under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation.
In 2012 he was appointed Advisor to the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
In 2014 he took the office of the Minister of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications of the Moscow Region. In 2016 he was appointed deputy chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region.
In 2018 as Vice President of JSC «Rostelecom» he took charge of the company’s digital platforms and from February 2019 took the office of JSC «RT-Labs» CEO.
On February 21, 2020 he was appointed Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
