Aleksandr Shoitov was born on January 4, 1971 in Moscow.
From 1987 to 1988 he worked in Baikov Institute of Metallurgy and Materials of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
In 1993 he graduated from Institute of Cryptography, Communications and Informatics with a degree in «applied mathematics».
From 1993 to 2021 Aleksandr Shoitov did the military service and received the rank of Lieutenant-General.
In 2017 he was appointed President of the Academy of Cryptography of the Russian Federation.
Aleksandr Shoitov has a doctorate degree in Physics and Mathematics and was awarded with
the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the 2nd degree.
On April 21, 2021 Aleksandr Shoitov was appointed Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
