In 2004 he graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a master’s degree in applied mathematics and physics.
From 2002 to 2013 he worked in the sector of IT and communications in JSC «Vympel-Kommunikatsii».
From 2013 to 2019 he held senior positions in the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation as well as in the Research Institute «Voskhod».
In 2019-2020 Andrei Zarenin served as the Advisor to the Presidential Executive Office.
In 2020 he was appointed Deputy Director General of the Department of Information Technologies of the Government of the Russian Federation.
On May 11, 2021 he was appointed Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
